Going through the back catalog of globetrotting DJ Guy J’s impressive home of Lost & Found, means there are a long string of progressive releases, pretty much made to to perfection. Here we are with their latest release, number 30 in order, and this time we see another high profile artist making his steps on to the label as Israeli bound producer Chicola delivers another smashing production.
“Childhood” as the track is named is a warm welcome to wat progressive music is all about, when going back to the roots, a long build up, added on big pads, warm bass lines and textures building this to perfection like we always see from the Israelian producer. To us, it is a truly honest production, filled with a story that needed to be told, listened and be perceived.
To add even more flavour to the release, it comes with a remix as well, to use the ideas and put them out in a different mood. No one could be a better pick, than putting two absolutely amazing producers together, as we see Argentine legend Hernan Cattaneo team up with an always returning collaboration duo for him, Soundexile. With the three combining, Hernan himself and Soundexile (Oliverio Sofia and Pablo Alejandro Carr) this outcome is as perfect as it can be. With a slightly harder touch built to the original ideas, more drum patterns, another groove and a variety on other elements, they are defining another twist on the Chicola original. It is a truly warm and well driven production as we so often see from them.
If you still haven’t had a listen to it, it is a must have and one to not miss out on, if you are a fan of the deep side of electronic music, this genre.
